ABOUT LEON KING

Leon King is a Singer, songwriter, producer, and musician from London.
His career spans over 16 years and continues on a musical journey.
Past years of nurturing his craft and skills being born into a musical family of mixed heritage, it all began with his earliest memory at 2 years of age on his father's shoulder watching the vinyl spinning on the record player, playing Stevie Wonder's "Songs in the Key of Life" album.
At the age of 4 strumming on guitars lying around.. then from age 11 taking the guitar more seriously, self taught to become a professional player at 16 years old in a gigging band.
By 18 years of age having self produced and written an ep and managed as an artist playing at various London venues such as the The Jazz Cafe, The Pigalle Club, and hammersmith apollo, to Ronnie Scotts, Blue Note Milano, New Morning Paris, Tokyo Jazz Festival, and more.
A decade later on the session scene and playing guitar and backing vocals for the late Amy Winehouse, touring and also working with various artists, producers, & musicians worldwide such as Adele, Amerie, Akala,Wretch 32, Dale Davis, Pino Palladino, Marc De Clive Lowe, Stephanie McKay, & TY.
In 2009 the release of his EP "The Digital Church" on label Arision Recordings owned by Tyler Askew receiving underground praise, particularly from music lovers and dj's in the USA to Japan and personal praise from recording artists Glenn Lewis, Eric Roberson, and Lalah Hathaway.
2010 saw the collaboration producing a track for Illa J (J Dilla's brother) who is a member of Slum Village and a solo artist continuing the legacy.
Equally at home on the stage or in the studio, Leon has recorded an album and is soon to be released with a lot more to come.
